Ride the High 5

Take the road less traveled through five wild and wonderful West Virginia counties, where every scenic mile creates a ride to remember.

West Virginia’s scenic country roads are not only great for cyclists but also for motorcycle touring. A 2025 reboot of our 2018 Ride the High 5 (RH5) motorcycle map features fewer but longer routes taking riders over the mountains through the five-county region of the Upper Potomac Highlands including Grant, Hampshire, Hardy, Mineral and Pendleton Counties.

To enjoy the great mountain views and exhilarating routes as you travel over our country roads, you can plan your motorcycle tour with the information about places to stay, eat, and shop listed on both the website and on the printed map. Additional county by county information may be accessed through each county’s website.

The routes have been configured by Road Runner, who is also designing and printing the maps, and are available as downloads on the RH5 website. Printed maps will be distributed to motorcycle clubs and can also be ordered individually through the website. This project was sponsored in part by Red’s Broken Spoke.
